Before joining the firm as a partner, Jérôme Assouline practiced at KPMG and Jones Day.
Jérôme Assouline has a clientele consisting of corporations and individuals in all areas of tax law.
Jérôme Assouline is particularly active in the area of the tax treatment of projects involving the sale, acquisition and restructuring of companies and the tax treatment of Private Equity projects (for a clientele consisting of investment funds, start-ups and managers). Jérôme Assouline has also developed expertise in the areas of real estate investment, inheritance and estate law and tax litigation.
Jérôme Assouline is the author of numerous law articles and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the French association of tax lawyers known as the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF), the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP) and the International Wealth Advisors Forum. Jérôme Assouline is also a leading member of the Individual Tax and Private Client Committee at the International Bar Association (IBA).
